I graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2010 after completing an Honour's Bachelor degree and then a Master's Degree. I have been with the Mitchell Animal Hospital since 2013 and became a partner with Gerald in 2021.

I grew up with a family who owned many pets - most were rescues and many of whom I played on my parent’s heartstrings to bring home. I’m not sure when it was that I decided to be a veterinarian. Perhaps it was when I convinced my lifelong feline-phobic mum to fall in love with Robbie the black tabby cat who was left in a cardboard box, or maybe it was when one particularly decrepit abandoned dog who I brought home bit my father so badly that he lost the use of his hand for some time. Nevertheless, I quickly realized that the true constant throughout my life was the love and compassion I felt for animals and the need to be good at more for them than just bringing them home.

I also enjoy traveling and learning about other cultures. A Scottish lass by blood and upbringing, I also lived most of my teenage years in the Cayman Islands and have explored the Caribbean, Europe, Australia, and parts of the Middle East. I have also been known to find myself in places such as South Korea with only a backpack and a smile, or traveling South Africa helping capture and rehabilitate wildlife and implement anti-poaching techniques.

Nowadays, outside of work I love anything creative from soap making to cake decorating, but mostly love spending time with my husband, little boys, and dogs, traveling, adventuring, and exploring.
